CHRISTMAS HOUSE PARTY
Thursday 23rd December
Arrive in Oxfordshire in time to enjoy afternoon tea and cakes served in the lounge, and then settle into your hotel room. Take part in our Christmas competition around the hotel and buy your ducks for the charity duck race. Our welcome drinks reception with canapés is a chance for you to meet your hosts and fellow guests. 'Race Night' in the Thames Suites follows your four-course dinner with wine in the River View Restaurant.
Christmas Eve
After breakfast, you will have a chance to explore Oxfordshire - perhaps Wallingford, Oxford or Henley, for any last minute Christmas shopping. A two-course hot and cold buffet lunch will be served in the restaurant. Relax during the afternoon, with a cup of tea and Chef's selection of cakes and pastries. Enjoy a four-course dinner with wine in the restaurant, while traditional Christmas carol singers entertain you, followed by our Grand Quiz in the Thames Suite. For those attending Midnight Mass, tea and coffee will be waiting on your return.
Christmas Day
Start Christmas Day with a hearty breakfast and a glass of bucks fizz. Have a go at our 'Guess the Weight of our Christmas Cake' competition with morning coffee and shortbread. A traditional five-course Christmas lunch with wine will be served in the restaurant followed by a chance to watch the Queen's Speech in the bar. Afternoon tea and Christmas cake will be served in the hotel lounge. Dinner tonight is a gala buffet with wine followed by a fun 'Casino night' in the River View Bar.
Boxing Day
Full English brunch will be served until midday. Our famous Charity Duck Race takes place on Shillingford Bridge, and then it's off to the pantomime 'Sleeping Beauty' in Reading. Tea and cakes will be waiting in the hotel lounge for when you return. Following your four-course dinner with wine, dance at our farewell party to our resident band.
Monday 27th December
Enjoy a final leisurely breakfast and then its time to say your goodbyes! We hope you have had a most enjoyable time. If you're not ready to go home yet, why not stay an extra night or two on our St Nicholas Break from only £60 per person per night.
